Pyengana Valley is prestigious dairy farming land, located in Tasmania’s North-East, producing traditional cloth-bound cheddar for over 130 years. Heritage vats dating back to over 100 years are still used to this day, honouring our cheese making method over four generations
Pyengana has an open and crumbly texture. Being a handmade farmhouse cheese, variations in character will appear, determined by the season and conditions when the cheese was made. 
The cheddar can be released at around six months, but the stock we sell is a minimum twelve months old and maximum eighteen months.
